Hey saxophonists.~ I hope all of us had fun experimenting with Yagibushi(I think like that spell) today!
Welcome back to the section Farhanah!!!
Our goal for this period of time is to complete all the etudes from Tone and Technique. And also to memorise scales and the orientation pieces. They are "Hawaii-5-0" and "Whistle While We Work". As you can see, we have so much things to accomplish. So please come for all practices and take your scores home to meditate. Members that have not been turning up or have been reporting late for band please come and come earlier as your section needs you. Also, HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO WELSON!

Just something for us to think about..

When To Quit?
Imagine you've started larning the piano- and already you are thinking: "This is too hard. Maybe i'll learn the triangle..." Or maybe you've started studying an etude and you can't believe how complicated it is! You ask yourself, "Is it time to quit and look for something easier?"
No! The best time to quit is after you have succeeded! Why? because success is more about persistence than talent.
With practice theres no doubt that you'll be able to do that particular thing quite well - maybe not like an expert, but reasonably well. And you won't know how fun that song is until you can do it well. This applies to drills too. Until you can play a dozen songs on your Saxophone, you'll never know the thrill of making music. Until your band's concert have been a success, you'll never know how good it feels! -Quoted
